Imagine being in a relationship with a man that tells you that he loves you with all his heart, that your are the most important thing in the world to him and that he is committed to spending the rest of his life with you, sounds like pure love, right? Now imagine that the relationship started off great but now that same man barely calls you, and when he does he only talks to you for a couple of minutes and then he rushes off somewhere

Purity In Media Pt2
When I was a teen, I was into horror novels. One scared me so badly, I had to put it out on my front porch because I couldn’t keep it in my house. I allowed books to fill my mind with page after page of polluted stories that contained ungodly characters, obscene language, demonic influences—stories written by a famous author whose books were turned into movies that I would then go see. (Movies that wouldn’t have made the first cut a few paragraphs ago.) For today’s teens, it’s no different

Girls Gone Mild
I was up late one night and I was watching TV when a commercial came on for one of those “Girls Gone Wild” videos, I had heard about them but I have never seen them. Even though the commercial doesn’t show everything I was shocked at what I saw, I couldn’t believe that these beautiful young women would allow anyone to film them doing outrages things for the whole world to see. My heart broke for them because I knew that they were spiritually lost and I knew that even though they were smiling and flaunting their bodies that they lacked self-esteem and self-respect.

Purity In Personal Habits
When I really committed my life to Christ at 15, a few lingering sins followed me as I attempted to grow in my faith: listening to music that obviously didn’t glorify God, running my mouth about anything and everything, disrespecting my parents, and most of all, a general interest in doing whatever it took to be popular.

CogdillIn the dappled sunlight in the clearing of a meadow on the edge of a forest, 16-year-old Bella Swan’s heart races as GQ-model-handsome Edward Cullen draws near to her. Edward, in love with Bella, musters every ounce of self-control not to kill her. Killing’s his first instinct—because he’s a vampire. This scene, a vivid dream of author Stephenie Meyer, sparked her imagination to write Twilight, the first book of a bestselling young-adult series.

The Letter That Changed My LifeCross Post from Ungrind
I sat in front of my computer about to do something I never imagined doing: write a letter to my molester.
A few days prior, my husband casually mentioned his upcoming business trip. I felt sick and angry inside when I heard where. Attached to this city name were memories from thirty-three years ago I’d rather forget.

In the Presence of the KingCross Post from Heading Home
One day, with head hung down, the lowly subject known as Sinner found herself standing in the Presence of the King. He guided her to a rugged cross, stained with blood that had trickled down its post. He escorted her to an empty tomb, where burial cloths lay as evidence of One having been there. As He walked with her into the Garden of Easter gladness, she finally understood and accepted the sacrifice for forgiveness of sins.
Sinner became known as Saint as she daily sought the King’s Presence. Sitting at His feet, she received all the King’s blessings of the Holy Spirit for her life.

Didi’s Story
Being an only child can do strange things to you, believe me, I know. It sometimes makes you think you're the princess the world revolves around, and other times it leaves you feeling completely alone in the world. When I was young, I prayed for a sibling, and when I was 10, I got the chance I'd always wanted. My mom was pregnant! When my brother was born, I was ecstatic. But only a few hours after he was born the doctors noticed something was wrong. He was born with a hole in his tiny heart. He died two short weeks later, and my life has never been the same.

My 120 "mirror-minutes" had nothing to do with hair brushes, mascara, or brand names jeans. It was deeper. I desperately wanted to mask my insecurities.

Divide and ConquerMarriage is a wonderful thing but that doesn’t mean that it’s easy. I’ve been married almost ten years to the funniest, nicest, gentle Christian man I have ever met but it’s still challenging at times because no matter how great he is he’s not perfect and I’m not perfect. Occasionally we make mistakes; we may hurt each others feeling or maybe one of us feels taken for granted but no matter what may temporally divide us there is something much more powerful that brings us back together and that’s our faith.
In John 10:10 the Bible tells us that satan has come to destroy mankind; what better way to do that than to destroy families. Satan knows that when he destroys one marriage he’s destroyed a few people in one shot and what’s the easiest way to destroy a marriage? Cause a division.

A Baby's HugCross Post from Saved by Faith [blog site]
We were the only family with children in the restaurant. I sat Erik in a high chair and noticed everyone was quietly sitting and talking.
Suddenly, Erik squealed with glee and said, 'Hi.' He pounded his fat baby hands on the high chair tray. His eyes were crinkled in laughter and his mouth was bared in a toothless grin, a s he wriggled and giggled with merriment.
I looked around and saw the source of his merriment. It was a man whose pants were baggy with a zipper at half-mast and his toes poked out of would-be shoes. His shirt was dirty and his hair was uncombed and unwashed. His whiskers were too short to be called a beard and his nose was so varicose it looked like a road map.

I Love My Friend...A Cross Posting from Exodus Youth
I had a friend in high-school who was my first best-friend. We spent all of our free time together. For the first time in my life, I felt loved and accepted for who I was. This was an exciting time for me. I grew close to this friend and to her family. There were times soon after my parents’ divorce that I didn’t go home for days, spending more and more time at my friend’s house. We were not in a lesbian relationship, but when my mom asked me if my friend and I were homosexually involved, I had to admit to myself that I wished we were. If we were a “couple,” then she would never leave me and I would always feel the thrill of having someone truly care about me and value me as a person.

"Do Over!"
Cross Post from Consecrated To Him
“For everyone has sinned; we all fall short of God’s glorious standard.” Romans 3:23
Recently I have been thinking about how many believers allow themselves to be tormented by feelings of guilt and condemnation when they sin and fall short of our God’s glorious standard. They get so down on their selves when they realize that they are still susceptible to sin. We must remember that we are going to make mistakes as long as we are here in these sinful bodies living in this world full of sin and temptation.

A Six Year Old’s Battle
Cross Post from Saved by Faith [blog site]
Written by M. Mendonca
I was six years old, and it was a true battle. A steadfast wind swept over the ocean and ordered an army of waves to storm the beach as if it was Normandy in 1944. The waves crashed and receded; water lurked ever more closely to the castle walls. I had spent the entire afternoon skillfully constructing my masterpiece out of sand, just as Brunelleschi had spent years constructing his Florentine dome, and I refused to acknowledge the fact that the ocean could deliver a sweeping and fatal blow in an instant. There was a large outer wall with towers erected at each corner, a neat bridge made of palms which connected the barbican to the bailey, and a deep that stood majestically at the castle’s center. Surely, this beach had never seen a finer structure.

Jesus said “For the Son of Man has come to save that which was lost. “What do you think? And if he should find it, assuredly, I say to you, he rejoices more over that sheep than over the ninety-nine that did not go astray. Even so it is not the will of your Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.” (Matthew 18:11-14)

Surrender DailyCross Post from ConsecratedToHim.com
When we ask Jesus to come into our lives it should be because we acknowledged that we have sinned against God and disobeyed His laws. We go to Him broken with a contrite spirit, humbly sorry for our sins. Asking Him to forgive us, restore us, transform us and create in us a clean heart. It has become apparent to us that we need Him to help us because our ways of doing things in our lives have lead us down the wrong path. Heart ache and pain are the result of our own selfish and rebellious nature. Tired of this way of life we turn to Him and ask Him to take the wheel. We want him to be our Lord and Savior so we surrender to Him and confess our sins, repent, and ask Him to come into our hearts to live and rule.

#3. So how do you know that you’re all over it?
#4. Did you ever tell your husband?
#5. I need help and I’m so ashamed of what I’ve done, what has been done to me, and I’ve been silent all these years, never trusting anyone with this mega-personal information.
