Hi Trophy of Grace,

I haven't talked to u in a while. I need some words of encouragement. School hasn't been going too good. Lately I've been feeling down, but i don't know why. I also feel like there are people or a person that suppose to be my friend but actually would rather see me fail.

Good to hear from you my sister. I am sorry that you are feeling down. I can understand that. Sometimes there are times were I find myself feeling a little down and I don’t know why either, but I shake it off by running to God’s presence. I put on my ipod or turn on the tv to the Christian music station and I start encouraging myself in the Spirit. I am telling you have to put on the garment of praise for the spirit of heaviness. (Isaiah 61:3)

Regarding the haters that want to see you fail..well honey there will always be haters. Don’t worry about them. Leave them in God’s hands. Pray for those that hate you, curse you, or hurt you. Just turn the other cheek and keep moving. There is no point in even responding a lot of times. A wise woman just told me recently it is better to let the fire go out. So don’t fan the flame. (Matthew 5:43-47) Pray for them remember that every one has their issues, even though it doesn’t give them a right to treat others badly. Just pray for them..

Recently some the women of WeUsed2bu have experienced persecution also. You can imagine what we encounter. Not everyone wants to hear the truth of God’s Word. (John 3:19) You just have to let it roll off of your back. Jesus was persecuted, talked about, lied about, and even called the prince of demons. He said that we will be called even worse names. (Matthew 10:25)

He also said “11 “God blesses you when people mock you and persecute you and lie about you and say all sorts of evil things against you because you are my followers. 12 Be happy about it! Be very glad! For a great reward awaits you in heaven. And remember, the ancient prophets were persecuted in the same way.” (Matthew 5:11-12

So take heart sister..forgive your offenders and let it go. Don’t meditate on the offenses or you will become a slave to unforgiveness and bitterness.

Beware Of Anger!

BEWARE OF ANGER! When we have been hurt, offended, gossiped on, betrayed, or taken advantage of we must not allow ourselves to be consumed by anger. Anger is determined to take over all of our emotions and hinder our thinking provoking us to meditate on the offense over and over again.

It’s a trap! Don’t meditate on the offense!

By constantly remembering the offense we are feeding the anger and prolonging forgiveness and healing. We need to learn to choose to forgive and leave the offense and the offender in God’s hands. Believe me; I know it is easier said than done especially when it hits close to the heart. However, the Word of God tells us that if we do not forgive our offenders than God will not forgive us either. We are also commanded to get rid of all bitterness, rage, and anger in our lives.

“Your heavenly Father will forgive you if you forgive those who have sinned against you; but if you refuse to forgive them, he will not forgive you.” (Matthew 6:15)

“Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you.” (Ephesians 4:31-32)

I am not saying don’t get angry. There will be times that we all get angry. We just can not allow the anger to overcome us. So what do we do when we have been hurt? How do we not allow anger not to consume us? Below are just some suggestions:

Ø Be lead by the Spirit. Don’t allow your fleshy emotions to take over your mind. Remember there are principalities in the spiritual realm wanting to agitate the situation more and could even be the influence provoking it. We must keep in mind that we are constantly in a spiritual battle.
Ø Control your tongue. Don’t be loose with the lips saying things that you will regret. I know my first reaction is to want to come out of my mouth and start verbally retaliating. I feel the need to defend myself with my tongue. This is not the answer! It will only help to quickly escalate the conflict.
Ø Do not hesitate, immediately begin to pray! Ask God to help keep a cover over your mouth until the Holy Spirit has helped you get control over your emotions. Then try to resolve the situation amicably, in love and with patience.
Ø If your offender is unreasonable and does not care to resolve the conflict then you have got to let it go and leave it in God’s hands. Remember that God is our vindicator. There is no reason to defend yourself or retaliate in anger, trust our Lord to work on both of your hearts and forgive the person right away for your own good.
Ø Refresh yourself by playing some praise and worship music so that you can get your spirit and mind back on the Lord and off the offense. It’s hard to be angry when you are worshipping God.

Lord, we thank you that through the power of the Holy Spirit we can forgive quickly and not allow anger to have its way with our emotions. We pray that You would have mercy on our offenders and draw them closer to You. In Jesus name…Amen.

Jesus Freak!

When you decide to follow Jesus with all of your heart those closest to you will notice. All of a sudden you talk different. You have become more aware of the things that come out of your mouth. You no longer want to hang out in those places that will cause you temptation or ruins your testimony. You are truly different!

You now have a desire to please God so you begin to reevaluate your life. This process can often be difficult. Your friends and family may not understand. They may not even agree. So don’t be surprised if you are being persecuted from those closest to you. You may be called extreme or a Jesus Freak. Some may even feel the need to bring up what the old you was up to just months, weeks, or even days before you surrendered to Christ Jesus.

Don’t be discouraged! Jesus was persecuted and we will be persecuted too because we belong to Him. (John 15:20) Keep diligently doing God's will. You will no longer be spending the rest of your life chasing after evil desires. You have had enough in the past of the evil things the godless enjoy- sex, sin, lust, getting drunk, wild parties, drinking bouts, and the worship of idols, and the other terrible sins.

Of course your former friends will be very surprised when you don’t eagerly join them any more in the wicked things they do, and the will laugh at you in contempt and scorn. But just remember that they must face the Judge of all, living and dead. They will be punished for the way they have lived. Thank God daily for your salvation. (1 Peter 4:3-5)

Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t snap back at those who say unkind things about you. Instead pray for God’s help for them, for we are to be kind to others, and God will bless us for it.

Be a strong living testimony for all your friends and family to see. Walk in love and pray for them constantly. Be prepared at all times to give an account of why you believe the way you do in a gentle and respectful manner. (1 Peter 3:8) Remember that our Lord called you to Him so that He could use you to minister His love to others. Don't be ashamed to be a Jesus Freak!

May God give you strength and courage on your journey to becoming His vessel of honor.

He Wants Me To Become A Polygamist Pt1

QUESTION: k heres the thing i have a boyfriend and he wants me to be polygamist and i really dont believe in that and he doesn’t want to be with me if i am not that and i love him and if i do leave him i have no place to go i will be homeless what do i do i am so confused do i stay with him so i can have a place to stay or tell him that i do not believe that and move on and just be homeless please help me

ANSWER:
RUN AWAY FROM THIS SITUATION AND DON’T LOOK BACK!! Get away from this man. It sounds like he’s trying to take advantage of you because he knows that you have nowhere to go. Don’t allow yourself to be trapped in this immoral sin.
You are not a piece of meat. Don’t allow you to be used and abused by men.

I realize that you may be scared b/c you have nowhere to go, but pray to God for help. The Lord knows your fears and he sees your tears. He will help you if you will humble yourself before Him.

Do you have any friends or family you can call that are willing to help you? I know you may not want to go to a shelter but you cannot stay in this situation. If you give into his request, you might find yourself deep into a situation that you might not be able to get out of so easily.

1 Corinthians 6:18 reads that we are to “flee from sexual immorality. All other sins a man commits are outside his body, but he who sins sexually sins against his own body.”

Our body is a temple; a home for the Holy Spirit that lives within us. God doesn’t want us to be dirty minded and full of lust, but to be holy and clean. “Therefore, anyone who refuses to live by these rules is not disobeying human teaching but is rejecting God, who gives his Holy Spirit to you.” (1 Thessalonians 4:8)

So I plead with you, please don’t stay with him…

Don't Be Afraid To Be Different

Q: "I’m a Christian girl and everyone picks on me at school because I won't go to the parties and hang out and drink with them. They are always picking on me. I am getting so tired of being so different. Sometimes I just want to give up."

A: You are different! You are a child of God! That sets you apart from the rest of the world. As Christians we are not part of this world and that is why the world hates us and makes fun of us. (John 15:19)Do not be ashamed that you are different. Even as an adult, I too am ridiculed for being different. I do not go to the party or hang out with the friends that will jeopardize my faith anymore. I’ve learned to care more what God thinks about me than what other people think. I refuse to jeopardize my faith to "fit in". (Galatians 2:20) We are called to walk a lifestyle that is different from what the world knows. We must never be ashamed to be different because we belong to Jesus. If we are ashamed of him he will be ashamed of us before our Father. (Luke 9:26) Don’t get tired of doing the right thing. After a while you’re going too blessed, if you don’t get discouraged and give up. Remember that God has a plan for your life. (Galatians 6:9)

Look at the apostle Paul. Paul was also "picked" on for his faith and for his walk with the Lord. He was thrown in prison, stoned, and ridiculed publicly for being a Christian. Can you imagine what he went through? He accepted that he was different and he then embraced it. He focused on what God wanted him to do and he ended up writing a good portion of the New Testament. (1 Peter 4:16)Stay focused and don’t give up. The power that is in you is more powerful than this world. God has a plan for you. Trust his divine design. You are not alone. I will be praying for you.
