You Are Not Alone

MySpace Friend says..

So I went to church last night, and I haven't been going for a while. I prayed and prayed, begged him for forgivness, and if he would come into my heart... last night I didnt feel it he still wasnt there in my heart.. and I want it more then anything at this moment of time. I need it. I don't know what to do anymore, please tell me something? ♥

Daugther of Destiny replies..

My dear sister in Christ,

I know what its like not having any friends. When I was first saved a lot of my friends started to separate themselves from me. Some told me I had a "too good for you attitude" I didnt mind at first because I was a "new creation in Christ". The old me did just die and a new creation was born. I was truly comforted by John 15:18. Jesus tells his disciples that if the world hates you, remember that it hated me first.

But awhile back I did stumble. It was only last Easter that I re-dedicated myself to the Lord. And like you at first I didnt feel any miraculous transformation. But then again the Lord gave me another word. It was Matthew 17:20. Jesus again tells them if you have the faith as small as a mustard seed you can move mountains. All around me I saw Him. In my children. The change in my husband. When I was having a bad day strangers showed kindness. I believe that the Lord was letting me know in his own way that He loves me. He is always thinking of me.

It was only when i truly, I mean with my whole heart, asked Him for forgiveness that I started to feel Him. When I would go to church and worship Him, I felt Him with me. When my 4 year old daughter prays to Him I feel Him. Even now my sister as I type this to you, He guides my hands with the words to comfort while He consoles you. I believe that.

So I tell you, if you truly repented for your sins you are a new creation. Paul writes in 2 Corinthians 5:7, We live by faith not by sight. You are not alone. You belong to the most high God. You are His child now. He can help you and He will. After all he lead you to us...

You are never alone. You have us and the Lord will bring along others.

Girls Just Want To Have Fun

Anonymous replies to posting 'What Does The Bible Say About Partying & Clubbing?'

I get your point but at the same time i dont understand what is wrong with hanging out with your girls friends and dancing with eachother (nothing sexual) but its not like we par-take in this whole drinking and getting drunk dancing dirty stuff...i mean not everyone is the same and do the same things when we go out we just like to have fun..listen to music...dance and enjoy eachother company...my struggle or ne one else's struggle are not the same struggle you had with the clubs and lounges...

Trophy of Grace says..

There is nothing wrong with hanging out with your friends and dancing, but what are you dancing to? What are you truly celebrating? The lyrics in most of the club music is not edifying or encouraging. There is no life or true love in the music. It is ok to be young and want to have fun but don’t let the excitement of your youth cause you to forget your Creator. Honor Him in your youth before you grow too old and say, “Life is not pleasant anymore.” (Ecclesiastes 12:1)

If you are a child of God then you are a NEW CREATION this means that the old has gone and the new has come. (2 Corinthians 5:17) Before salvation we were in the world and lead by our sinful desires, but now that we are children of God we are to be lead by the Spirit of God. We are to live as children of light producing what is good and right and true. We are to carefully determine what pleases the Lord and not make excuses for sin and ungodly behavior. We are not to take part in the worthless deeds of evil and darkness; instead we are to expose them. (Ephesians 5:10-11)

Clubs and bars are not places for those who love and serve the Lord to hang out. Children of light have no business hanging out in places of darkness as a way of escape or release. We can sing, dance, and have fun but we are not to be conformed to the world’s way of doing this. Instead, we are to be filled with the Holy Spirit, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs among ourselves, and making music to the Lord in our hearts. (Ephesians 5:19, Colossians 3:16)

I love dancing. I used to do the club season too just like Daughter of Destiny. However, the more I spent time with the Lord in His Word and in prayer the more I realized that I did not really belong to that atmosphere any more. The desire for the party life was not me any more, it was the old me.

I haven’t stopped dancing though. In fact I spent this whole weekend singing, dancing, and worshipping the Lord. It was AWESOME!! Friday night our church had a night of worship, Saturday night we went to a free Christian Concert, and Sunday’s service had an awesome praise and worship time as usual. So I partied the whole weekend with others who love and fear the Lord too. It was great!! I feel refreshed and renewed. I don’t remember ever feeling like that after a night of clubbing.

This is something that you have to take to the Lord. We have shown you several scriptures that address this topic and how we are called to live as children of the Most High God. All Scripture was inspired of God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It corrects us when we are wrong and teaches us to do what is right. God uses it to prepare and equip His people to do every good work. (2 Timothy 3:16-17) However, it us up to each of us to choose to accept the Truth or deny it so that we can continue to do what is pleasing to us, instead of what pleases our Savior. We will be praying for you sister..May our Lord touch your heart and may you overflow with love for Christ Jesus.

Sincerely,

Trophy of Grace

Let Your Story Be Heard

As a child of God, you have a powerful story to tell. Sharing how you came to Jesus and the difference He's made in your life can help others discover how they can know God intimately.

God invites us to testify about His goodness so, please, share your testimony with WeUsed2bu. In sharing your testimony, you will bring glory to Christ:

2 Cor 5:18-20
"All this is from God, who reconciled us to himself through Christ and gave us the ministry of reconciliation: that God was reconciling the world to himself in Christ, not counting men's sins against them. And he has committed to us the message of reconciliation. We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God."

Your testimony might also be the story someone else needs to hear in order to take that leap of faith and draw near to God. It truly is the best way to present salvation to others.

When writing your testimony, ask the Lord to give you wisdom and guidance. Also, ask yourself:

What was your life like before you welcomed Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior?
What were your attitudes? needs? problems?
What was most important to you?
Where did you look for security, peace of mind and happiness?

How did you come to accept Christ, giving Him complete control of your life?
When did you first hear the gospel? When were you first exposed to Christianity?
What were your initial thoughts/reactions about Jesus Christ?
When and why did you begin to feel positively about Christianity?
What was the turning point?
What feelings did you struggle with right before your decision?

What happened after you trusted Christ?
What changes did you see in your life? attitudes? actions?
How long did it take before you noticed change?
What does Jesus Christ mean to you now?

Psalms 96:3
"Declare his glory among the nations,
his marvelous deeds among all peoples."

WeUsed2bu wants to provide wisdom and encouragement using the Word of God and life experiences. Let your life story help change the lives of others.

Help show hope; inspiration; encouragement… be a light in these women’s lives.

Revelation 12:11 "And they defeated him by the blood of the Lamb and by their testimony. And they did not love their lives so much that they were afraid to die."

I'm Sorry

Written by: Blessed and Highly Favored

I’m Sorry:

I always argued with you.
I never listened to you.
I wasted my potential on immediate gratification.
I gave away the precious things I thought as common.
I held on to my anger.
I didn’t forgive.
I let fear rule me.
I couldn’t think further than the next ten minutes.
I used you.
I didn’t value you.
I’m always quick to criticize.
I stomped all over your heart.
I made you feel uncertain and worthless.
I thought I could find my worth and identity in a man.
I loved you with conditions.
I always fall short.
I never think about anyone other than myself.
I’m selfish.
I’m prideful.
I wasn’t there when you needed me.
I thought you needed a friend when what you really needed a parent.
I never told you that you were the best thing in my life.
I let you raise yourself.
I wasn’t strict enough.
I let other things get in the way of us.
I let the little things slide.
I never told you about G-d, and just let you figure things out on your own.
I wanted to spend time with my friends than spend time with you doing things that you wanted to do.
I haven’t told you in a long time how precious and valuable you are to me. And that if you were to go away and leave me, my heart would break and I would cry for your return.
I got lost and became something I never wanted to be.

Please forgive me. I’m sorry and I need a second chance. Jesus has come into my heart and I’ve become a Born Again mom. I want to start all over again. Please let me into your life and let me love you the way the Lord wants me to love you; totally, completely, entirely. I will not give you up to the world to raise you because all it can provide to you is a slow death. And Jesus is all about life. Let me in please. I love you.

Mom

In this Christmas season, let us remember it was not Jesus as a baby who paid the price of our salvation, but a grown man who made the decision to give up His life for ours. Remember His Love, and allow yourself the vulnerability to love tenaciously. Merry Christmas.
