My Friends Want To Commit Suicide. HELP!

A Worried Friend Wrote: OK HERE IT GOES... YESTERDAY I WAS TALKING TO ONE OF MY FRIEDNS WHO IS A GUY AND HE IS 20... HE TOLD ME THAT HE WAS THINKING ABOUT SUICIDE THEN LATER THAT NIGHT I WAS TALKING TO MY EX WHO IS MY AGE & HE SAID THAT HE WAS CLOSE TO COMMITTING SUICDE THIS WEEKEND BUT HIS COUSIN STOPPED HIM BUT HE WAS STILL THINKING ABOUT IT... I BEGGED BOTH OF THEM NOT TO BUT THEY BOTH SEEMED PRETTY SET ON DOING IT....

WHAT DO I DO?!?!
I DONT WANT TO LOSE 2 OF MY CLOSEST FRIENDS!!!!

Response: Jesus said,"The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full - John 10:10

The enemy is trying to destroy your friends. He is attacking their minds and emotions. Your friends may want to give up because they do not realize that God has a plan for their lives.

Jeremiah 29:11 "For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me."

Suicide is a very serious matter. I would suggest if you haven't already, check up on your friends to confirm that they have not followed through with a suicide attempt. Your friends seem to be suffering from poor emotional health and may be having problems coping with life events. They need intervention.

You should immediately speak to one of their family members or tell someone close to them that will help them seek counsel from a doctor. Here is a national suicide hotline that you or friends can call toll free/24 hours/7 days a week. 1-800-784-2433 or 1-800-273-8255.
However, before you do anything pray and intercede on behalf of your friends. Ask God to help you make the right decision and lead you to the right person to talk to on their behalf. Ask Him to give you the words to speak to both your friends and the people that you are seeking help from.

Do not try to carry this burden on your own. If your friends told you that they are thinking of committing suicide then there is still hope, because they told you. It may be their cry for help. So pray for God's guidance and wisdom while you seek help from family members and professionals.
You and your friends are in our prayers. Please keep us posted. God bless you.

Not Even God Can Help Me - Pt2

continued from Not Even God Can Help Me

Her Response: no disrespect but if god has a plan for me he needs to get down here n tell me wut it is cuz i dont see it............n quite frankly i have more lives then a damn cat n these days i wish i hadn’t

WeUsed2bu: Sometimes we don’t understand what God is doing in our life or what has happened. But I know that in my own life, everything that’s happened, good or bad, God has used for my good and to His glory.

His plan for your life is to live bondage-free. He wants you to put all of your trust in Him. He has preserved your life many times because He’s not done with you and He’s allowing you time to turn from your ways and acknowledge Him. He loves you. He always has.

You asked that He come down and tell you what His plan is for your life, as if He’s been far away from you… but He’s never been far away. He’s been by your side all the time. He is in the storms of our lives, waiting for us to reach out for Him. He is what gives us strength and courage to keep moving forward.

God has planted eternity in men's hearts and minds [a divinely implanted sense of a purpose working through the ages which nothing under the sun but God alone can satisfy] (Ecclesiastes 3:11).

I can see by the details on your page that you are spiritually searching for something. But no spell, witchcraft, or any occult activity can fill the void you have in your heart. Jesus is the way, the truth and the life. It is only in serving Him that you will truly discover your purpose in this world.

We will be praying for you to find spiritual freedom through Christ.

With Love,

Trophy of Grace

Not Even God Can Help Me

Statement: well trust me im far from help not even god cant help me

Reply: God is more powerful than anything that you are going through or involved in. God is never far away from you! The enemy of our souls, satan, would have us all think that God can't help us. But that is a lie from the pits of hell!!

For I am persuaded beyond doubt (am sure) that neither death nor life, nor angels nor principalities, nor things impending and threatening nor things to come, nor powers, Nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation will be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. (Romans 8:38-39)

For with God nothing is ever impossible and no word from God shall be without power or impossible of fulfillment. (Luke 1:37)

God has a plan for your life..

For I know the plans I have for you,” says the Lord. “They are plans for good and not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope. In those days when you pray, I will listen. If you look for me wholeheartedly, you will find me. (Jeremiah 29:11-13)

Jesus died so that you could live and not die for your sins. It is not too late for you. His kindness is meant to lead you to repentance.

“For God loved the world so much that he gave his one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in him will not perish but have eternal life." (John 3:16)

" Don’t you see how wonderfully kind, tolerant, and patient God is with you? Does this mean nothing to you? Can’t you see that his kindness is intended to turn you from your sin?" Romans 2:4

All you have to do is believe, repent, confess and you will be saved.

If you confess with your mouth, "Jesus is Lord," and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you confess and are saved. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. (Romans 10:9-10, 1 John 1:9)

Then the Lord will give you His Holy Spirit which will guide you and lead you all the rest of your days here on this earth. He will give you power and courage to overcome the attacks of the enemy. The Lord loves you and wants to save you..

In Christ Jesus,

How Do You Figure You Used To Be Me?

Anonymous Wrote: not to be a smart but how do u figure u used to be like me.............im curious

Response: It's ok...

WeUsed2bu in a sense that...

... collectively we've experienced different life's circumstances that many teenagers and young women may go through at some point in their life.

insecurities
relationship problems
doubting or questioning what parents say
peer pressure
questions about our identity
learning who we are and our purpose in life
drugs and alcohol
gang activity
teen pregnancy
abuse
occult activity

As teens and young women we made many wrong decisions that affected the rest of our lives. We learned the hard way that things do not always turn out how we plan. Feelings of sadness, loneliness, trying to find our place, confusion, and fear are ones that we will never forget. God did not allow the enemy to detroy us because He had a purpose for our lives. We understand that everything we went through God allowed for such a time as this. This is why we started WeUsed2bu.

WeUsed2bu is way of reaching out to teens and young women letting them know that God has a plan for their lives and they are not alone on their journey through this life.

Here is a link to our testimonies page where you can read some of stories if you'd like.

He Wants To Hang But Doesn't Want To Commit. Help!

Anonymous asks..I have a guy that I like and am interested in. We both have past of being hurt and are afraid but I am trying to follow Gods will. This guy wants to take his time and I totally respect that but at the same time he is scared with being honest with his feelings and it is very hard to not get tempted in this situation. He likes to hang out with me and want to see what happens but does not want to make a commitment. HELP!!!

Answer.. You are a daughter of the King! Your heavenly Father wants the best for you. He will send you the man who is for you and only you. He does not want you to be unequally yoked with an unbeliever or a man that claims to love the Lord but does not have evidence in His life.
He knows that you have been hurt in the past and that you are afraid. Don’t force this relationship. Perhaps you both need more time to heal before moving forward in new relationships.

Take a couple of steps back. The more time you spend with this guy the more confusing it will be for both of you. Confusion is not of the Lord. Confusion comes from the enemy to keep us distracted so that we can not see where God is trying to direct us. When this happens it is best to stop and seek God. He says that if we want to know what His will is all we have to do is ask in faith and don’t doubt that He will really answer. Then when we pray about our situations we will begin to have peace which surpasses all understanding protecting our minds and hearts as we trust God.

Don’t be deceived by the enemy our Heavenly Father gives good gifts. He wants to bless you with a healthy relationship. He will give you a man that:

• Loves Jesus

• Obeys God and puts Him first

• Loves you

These things will be evident in this man’s life because as a princess child of the Almighty God he has only the best for you. So don’t settle for less. You are royalty now and you deserve to have a godly man by your side that will love and cherish you. He will be sure that you are for him and will honor you because of his love for God. He will respect you and your desire to do God’s will. He will not lead you into temptation.

I will be praying for you to be strong and determined to follow God’s will.
Sincerely,

My Smoking Friend

Anynonmous Asks...
Hey, I just want to know what do I do when a really close friend is smoking? He told me that he wasn't like that. Should I still be his friend?

Answer: It seems to me that your friend lied to you. If this is the case your relationship started off as a lie. You should first forgive him and pray for him. Choosing our friends is something that we need to do wisely and pray about.

About whether you should remain friends with him. Please remember our reputation comes from what we do and who we hang with. Our friends can also influence us.

Smoking is a serious issue that can eventually cost your friend his life. I do think you should talk to your friend and share with him some of these statistics.

*Smoking doesn’t kill you right away. Its effects could take some time to kill you and you don’t always die. You may have to suffer a slow death.
*Cancer is only one of the many illness that smoking causes.
*About 419,000 people die each year from cigarette and cigar smoking and that is only in the United States .
*Smoking causes 20 percent of all deaths in the United States each year.
*Cigarette smoking is the major cause of lung disease, including emphysema and chronic bronchitis.
*It is proven to cause cancer, heart disease and hormonal problems.
*Smoking is also linked to pulmonary diseases, cardiovascular disease.

Also, here are some Scriptures that you could read to help give you some direction and encouragement.
1Corinthians 6:12, 1 Corinthians 6:19-20, Ephesians 5:17, Exodus 20:13, Proverbs 3 5 and 6

Before closing I would like to say thank you for asking this question. Your question caused me to do research on the affects of smoking and what the bible says on it. Most of all I feel I must be accountable for my own actions.

I am ashamed to say that I am a smoker. It’s something that I’ve been struggling with for a very long time. This addiction has a strong hold on my life. I hate the fact that I can’t leave the house unless I have a lighter and that my family has to budget in this expense for my addiction.

This question has just confirmed to me that its time to stop. Upon my research I came across several articles about the dangers of smoking and how it hinders my spiritual development. I know the Holy Spirit dwells within me and my body does not belong to me, it belongs to God.

I realize that smoking as a Christian damages my testimony. I know that every time I smoke I’m tearing apart God's temple, decreasing the time I have to serve God, and wasting the money God has blessed me with.

I am taking the necessary steps to stop. I know I can because I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Thanks again..

My BFF's Hate Each Other

Anonymous said...

I have 2 really good best friends that hate each other. It's hard 2 just hang out with 1 and not the other. They always get mad at me. I just don't know what 2 do please help me.

Answer: The first thing I would suggest is talking to each friend separately. Tell them honestly how you feel. Explain that it hurts you that they are fighting and that you do not want to be put in the middle of it. The problems that they have with one another should not involve you. Try to encourage them to resolve their differences, forgive each other, and
move on.

If after speaking to them they still do not respect your requests then you should really pray about whether you seperate yourself from them. You want to have friends that are going to be understanding, positive, and peaceful. Nobody needs extra drama and conflict in their life.

Pray about the situation. Ask God to touch your friends’ hearts and help them to forgive one another. Pray about whether or not you should remain friends with them. He will hear your prayers and answer them.
Proverbs 3:5-6 says, 5Lean on, trust in, and be confident in the Lord with all your heart and mind and do not rely on your own insight or understanding.
6In all your ways know, recognize, and acknowledge Him, and He will direct and make straight and plain your paths.

I hoped this helped you. You and your friends are in my prayers. Trophy of Grace

Scriptures on Drinking & Drugs

Proverbs 20:1
Wine is a mocker, strong drink a brawler, and whoever is led astray by it is not wise.

Proverbs 23:29-35
Who has woe? Who has sorrow?Who has strife? Who has complaining?Who has wounds without cause?Who has redness of eyes? Those who tarry long over wine;those who go to try mixed wine.Do not look at wine when it is red, when it sparkles in the cupand goes down smoothly. In the end it bites like a serpentand stings like an adder.Your eyes will see strange things, and your heart utter perverse things. You will be like one who lies down in the midst of the sea, like one who lies on the top of a mast.“They struck me,” you will say, “but I was not hurt;they beat me, but I did not feel it.When shall I awake?I must have another drink.”

Galatians 5:16-24
But I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. For the desires of the flesh are against the Spirit, and the desires of the Spirit are against the flesh, for these are opposed to each other, to keep you from doing the things you want to do. But if you are led by the Spirit, you are not under the law. Now the works of the flesh are evident: sexual immorality, impurity, sensuality, idolatry, sorcery, enmity, strife, jealousy, fits of anger, rivalries, dissensions, divisions, envy, drunkenness, orgies, and things like these. I warn you, as I warned you before, that those who do such things will not inherit the kingdom of God. But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law. And those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.

Ephesians 5:15-21
Look carefully then how you walk, not as unwise but as wise, making the best use of the time, because the days are evil. Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the will of the Lord is. And do not get drunk with wine, for that is debauchery, but be filled with the Spirit, addressing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody to the Lord with your heart, giving thanks always and for everything to God the Father in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, submitting to one another out of reverence for Christ.

Is it a sin for a Christian to drink Alcohol/wine?
