When ever the Lord gives you direction you have to trust Him. If He put it on your heart to pray and fast for your ex-boyfriend well then be obedient. However you must remember that receiving salvation is a choice that each of us has to make individually. We can pray and intercede for someone, but they have to choose to repent and confess their sins and believe on Christ Jesus to save them on their own. We can’t make anyone be saved.

Jesus said, “Look! I am standing at the door and knocking. If anyone listens to my voice and opens the door, I will come in to him and eat with him, and he will eat with me.” Revelations 3:20

Jesus is knocking on the door of your ex’s heart, but he has to decide if he wants to open. Allow the Lord to do a work in his life. You continue to pray and trust in the Lord. Leave it in God’s hands. Don’t worry the Lord has a way of getting our attention and He has heard your prayers. Just keep believing for this young man’s salvation.
