More Help says..Hi. Well I need some more help. Ok? Well.. let me tell you, so me and my boyfriend have been broken up for like a month now and we were together for 3 years. I already told you that we have a kid together. Anyways.. so I’m use to us breaking up and getting back with each other and now he’s with a different girl. It’s only been a month and he got a tattoo with her name and I’m so upset with that. I have been crying and crying all day. Like I was with him for 3 years he never got a tattoo with my name. It makes me feel like crap, like I was never doing anything right. I don’t know what to do with my self???
Response:I am so sorry that you are hurting. It’s so hard to see the person who you love and have a child with acting so in love with someone else, but this is something that you have to let go of. Perhaps it is for the best that you guys broke up. It seems that your relationship was constantly having problems and in turmoil anyways which is why you were always breaking up.
You have to pull yourself together and humble yourself before God and ask Him to help you. He is the only one that can help you get through this hurt and feelings of loneliness. I know what it is like to feel abandoned. When I was 19 my husband at the time left my daughter and I one month before she turned a year old. It was the worst feeling. I felt so betrayed. I thought it was my fault. Years later he confessed that he had been sleeping around with different people, including some of my own “friends”. He apologized and said that it was not my fault that I was a good wife and that he was just young and was scared of the responsibility.
Back then that was the start of a downward spiral for me. I let my heart be consumed by the heart and the loss of my husband and marriage. It was almost like that relationship consumed me. I have learned that we can not put all of our trust in a man to fulfill our needs. Only God can meet all of our needs. You see God is faithful, loving, protective, caring, comforting, providing, and so much more. He is everything that we need to make it in this world. We will never know that though if we keep running away from Him.
Take this situation as a blessing. Sometimes God allows what seems to us as a “bad thing” to happen so that we will run into His arms for comfort and direction, so that we will see that we need Him. He wants to take care of you and your child. He wants to strengthen you and give you confidence in knowing that He loves you and has wonderful plans for you and your child’s life. When everyone else has abandoned you the Lord will still be there, right by your side.
Start focusing on yourself and your relationship with God. You will begin to see that He will show you which way to go. You will start making better and wiser decisions. You will still have to face trials, tests, and troubles but God will help you through all of them. You will not fall apart every time a strong wind blows because He will be there holding you up and pushing you forward.
You want a good man? You want a nice house? A good job? Good things? You have to first seek the kingdom of God and all of these things will be added to you.
Matthew 6:33 “But seek (aim at and strive after) first of all His kingdom and His righteousness (His way of doing and being right), and then all these things [taken together will be given you besides.
I remember years after my first husband left me the Lord promised me that He would bless me several times over what the enemy stole from me. He told me that my husband would love me and cherish me. Today I am married to my second and last husband. He is an amazing man who loves my daughter from my first marriage as his own. We have been together going on 11 years. We have had our ups and downs, but we love each other dearly. The Lord blessed me with an even better husband and 7 beautiful children.
The Lord did this because I am His precious daughter that He loves and adores. He has watched over me carefully and blessed me above and beyond what I could have ever asked. I am blessed and highly favored of God.
I encourage you to confess your sins to God and ask forgiveness today. Ask Jesus to take control of your life and make you a new creation in Him. The windows of heaven will be opened to you as you learn to know God more.
